So we started our tour with Rural Alberta Advantage. they are a wonderful band, and good people too! Thank you to all the ppl in Talahasse, Athens and Atlanta who came our to our shows. Our tour continues tonight in Washington, DC (check the tour dates).
While eating at a soul food diner in rural Georgia, David got a nose bleed. Noticing the blood, the Diner's big Mama approached him, and asked if she could bless him to get rid of the demons. David agreed, and the Mama began rubbing his forehead invoking her deity to combat the blood. it was fantastic."

We're just about to head out of Calgary for our next show in Medicine Hat. We've had a great stretch so far and are somewhere around halfway through this endeavor. So far we've been accommodated by friends, family, DJs, journalists, and all sorts of colorful and wonderful characters in cities, rivers and farms. Surviving off fresh fruit and frozen food and all sorts of supplementary delights, we've been able to avoid hunting and look forward to foraging and fishing in Jasper in a few days when we cross the pass to go back west. Thanks to anyone who has and will come to support us along the way and sing and dance and converse. We've met great people across this wide strange and majestic country - your restless idealism and sense of impending doom keep us going.

Nice, we've managed to get an album out there into the world: upon reflection it always seems like a strange process rendering tangible and external, the personal and contained within - but it goes through enough circuits, knobs, membranes and minds to make it feel normal all over again. In a way it's like a diving stick. Right? Anyway, hope that you engage with it and that it fosters some kind of imaginative presence.

After a considerable period of contemplation we've arrived at a new destination along our journey. In 5 days are new album will be released in tangible and esoteric binary form. ( a little lata in the US for the tangible -> August 18). Accordingly, we will have the full record streaming on myspace and the the digital album will be available at www.sparksmusic.com and itunes.
